Types of tournaments

Depending upon the tournament being played and the organizers and sponsors behind the event, prizes and additional participation fee may vary. Some local tournaments have a minimal participation fee, while the other big names require you to submit a hefty sum of money in order to be able to compete. The bigger the tournament, the better is the prize associated with it. Some large clubs and casinos also organize Poker tournaments at relatively low cost of participation with a generous prize money associated with the game. The benefit of such tournaments is that they attract a considerable amount of potential visitors to the club in the form of players as well as audience. Another common practice in Poker tournaments is that players can split the price if they agree upon it, mutually. For instance, suppose there are two players left, competing on a game that had started with 10 people. In such cases, the remaining two players can divide the prize money among themselves in the proportion that they mutually agree on. This is a beneficial thing for both the players as otherwise, only one would have own and taken away all the money, while the other person would have got nada. Therefore, in order to dace themselves from the risk of loosing, the final two, three or any number of players can split the prize money among themselves, provided all of them have built a mutual consensus on the way the money is supposed to be distributed. Usually, in such cases, them prize money is disbursed equally among the remaining players.
